Unhappy Breathing

Ok Ive searched around a little bit and didnt see to much, I dont know if Im just being overly Mommyish or what! But Juliet while sleeping, and occasionally when awake sounds almost like a little pig. Her breathing sounds like asthma related or something! Is that normal in Maltese?

It sounds a bit like reverse sneezing - which is common during and after sleep in maltese. It is harmless. Do a web search for reverse sneezing dogs and you will see some videos.

Oh Cassie............. try to keep calm. I know easier said then done!! I know why you are freaked out as the noises can be very bothersome, as its something that you are not used to. I am always on high alert for my dogs becuase one of them has a bad heart!!! Can you call your vet and ask them for their advise????
*** Big Hugs to you***

Cassie, it does sound normal. I wouldn't worry about that as long as she is fine otherwise.
