Dakota Update – 5 days post surgery – Well, The Pie has been home for 3 full days now, and she *thinks* she is completely recovered!! I am happy she is so full of herself, but she certainly is a challenge!!

Her incision still looks really nasty, but I can see some improvement – I am not seeing any sign of infection so Im happy with that. She is not allowed to walk around, but she is allowed in a confined area outside when she needs to pee & although she is still wobbly, I think I can see a slight improvement there too.

Overall, I am so thrilled she has come so far & appears to be recovering very, very well!! It is exactly a week today since the incident happened. I have done a little renovation on her crate, and given her a little home extension. I have a wire playpen on loan, but I am not certain it is high enough, so I might try to get another one that is a bit higher. I wouldn’t put anything past this little spitfire – it would not surprise me if she tried to climb out!!

That's wonderful news about Dakota, Jacqui. I love the picture you showed on FB of the extended area for her to move around in. She doesn't look so confined that way.
