Well just like the title states, we have had a set back here in our house. Day after Christmas I had an emergency appendectomy. This lead to my husband and daughter caring for Benni They both tried really hard, but he started peeing and pooping in the house. It did not help that the weather turned nasty and cold too! I am up and moving (barely) and wonder if I just start all over...throw in the towel and buy pee pads...Yes, I am frustrated, and sore and tired...

Benni was a sad puppy with me gone, and covered me with kisses when I got home yesterday

Thank goodness he is so gosh darn cute!

I'm sorry that you had to have surgery. Probably with you gone, and Benni's routine different , is what made him "go" in the house.i'm sure that you can get him back on track. I shudder to think what would happen to my 4 if my hubby was in charge and I was in your shoes! Utter Chaos!! LOL

I agree with Deb, poor baby missed his Mommy and got him off his routine. I hope you feel better soon, us Mom's are not allowed many sick days. I would hate to see what would happen at my house if I had an emergency.

Awwww ... Denise. Healing hugs for you. I am sure Benni got off track because you weren't home with him. As for the pee pads ... I highly recommend you use them. They are a blessing in our home. It will be easier for you and Benni. Snowball was trained to go inside on the potty pads. But, when on his walks, he can go outside, too. I think it might be less stress on Benni, too, if he doesn't have to go outside right now ... especially with you sharing that the weather is bad there right now.

Please take care of yourself. I had an emergency appendectomy on my 4th birthday ... I became very sick at my birthday party! You were lucky that you were diagnosed properly and had the surgery right away. I was in a coma for a week after the surgery ... however, that was many, many years ago! LOL

I wish you a speedy recovery, Denise. And, I am sure Benni will get back on track very soon. Just cuddle your sweet Benni and it will help you both feel a lot better!
