Why would anyone abuse an animal?

Was watching the news tonight and heard about this poor begal that was left to die..... he is going to be ok, but still. I look at my three wiggle butts, and shake my head. How how can anyone do that to any animal? or people that get a dog and decide oh its to hard to look after and get rid of them like a toy? I am taking the time to pray for all the animals in the world that are in that bad situation and hug my three tighter. Watching the news and hearing of abuse cases............ its getting harder and harder each time.

I just can't understand it. It makes my heart break. Too bad there's not an overabundance of animals so that people would have to be screened before having one.

All I can come up with is that some people are just plain evil. Or too ignorant to know/care what they are doing is wrong...

I can not look at or read articles on pet abuse. It makes me so sad. It's like some people have no conscience at all! Same goes for kind all abuse, child or the elderly or spousal abuse. It makes me sick!!

I can't even watch the ASPCA commercials, it makes me want to bring them all home while I sit there and cry on my couch.

I also cannot watch those ASPCA advertisements. I change the channel immediately. I really get sick when I hear any animal abuse situations on the news. I get so mad and upset....it is beyond comprehension that any human could possible hurt a helpless animal. These are sick people that should be legally accountable for their actions. People are really cruel.

Good to know, I'm not the only one, who cannot see those commercials....I start bawling the second I hear the music....and I can be in another room and still know it's on...

Few months ago I came across this vid on Youtube - the asian woman pokes the kitten's eye out with her high heel shoe and the kitten dies - at least that's what the title said. I never watched it, but I'm still sick just thinking about it. That night I was down with a bad cold and was killing the time watching cute pets videos - and then this thing came up in the site suggestions.
Now how sick is that?!
I have to be 100% honest with you guys - if that woman did what the title said she did, I can see myself terminating that person.

I agree with you Katie.Going back there was a lady that was walking her sheltie and stopped to talk to one of her neighbors and this sick individual from another neighboring house came along and took a mop with a nail and stabbed her dog in its mouth and took off. This poor woman I guess didnt know what to do, she just came out of chemo therapy. The poor dog passed away in its own pool of blood. All I can say when I am walking my three I am now very very watchful and do not let alot of people to get near them. There was a lady that was walking by and she was making hitting motions toward my dogs, no she was not mental or anything she just hates animals. She didnt hurt my dogs, but trust me I had a few choice of words for her. I am a momma bear protecting my baby cubs!!!!!
