I realized I've had Zsa Zsa 6 months now so thought I'd share a few pics. We still have tear staining issues but since she's from a puppy mill, they may never go away completely. I've been using Angel Eyes and it surprisingly makes her breath smell better. If I stop using it for more than a week the bad breath starts coming back.

She's between 4 and 6. She's only missing one tooth so can't be too old considering where she came from. She acts very young and has quite a personality. I'm more than pleased with her and am extremely in love. I'm so grateful to SCMR for letting me adopt her.
She has become quite the chewer, though. Not like her little teeth can do much damage but we find quite an assortment of items in her beds. I've never seen a dog so excited to find a Wal Mart receipt.

She looks young. She is so cute how can you not love her to pieces. They do love to chew stuff especially things that shouldn't be chewed on. Zoe would love to chew a receipt also. It's funny what makes them go nuts.

She looks like a perfect princess in her beautiful bed. Have you considered that her diet may contribute to the staining? MiMi has always had tear stains, but they are only under her eyes. I suspect MiMi simply has small tear ducts. Since Zsa Zsa has stains on her beard, you might look into a dry face water bowl, aka Bayou bowl. It has really helped to keep MiMi's face dry. Just be sure that you get the genuine product, because some are made in China and I wouldn't trust that it is lead free.

Zsa Zsa is so pretty! It does look her staining isn't from tears, don't see discoloration under her eyes, just lower part of her face. Has the facial hair grown out, and the staining has ended up just at the ends ? She looks to have a tiny little face, so precious?

Aww, she's a pretty girl! I agree with what the others said about her food and/or bowl. Try glass or stainless steel bowls, food/treats with no dyes, and distilled or filtered water. You also might want to try to dry her hair whenever you can after she's gotten it wet from drinking. Stains or not, she's still a beauty!
