I have noticed something about Lilo that tickles me to no end. Whenever it rains or is wet outside and its time for her to go potty she just looks at me like I am crazy. My Fiance took her out yesterday and a car had moved out of the driveway so there was a dry patch and she wouldn't go out of the dry patch. And when she does walk on wet ground she walks like she is a cat. I don't think my life has been this entertaining in awhile. Does anyone else
s fluffbutt do the same thing. |

Yes, I had one Malt that picked each leg up as high as she could, when she walked so she wouldn't get wet!! They usually don't like the rain. My four now, are pee pad trained, so I don't have that issue . Mine all love the snow, however???

That's one of the reasons I've potty pad trained Leila. I had a Yorkie who wouldn't go out if it was raining, windy, cold, too hot, etc. Also, because of my hours away when I have to work. I knew it was impossible to expect her to hold it that long. When she squats to tinkle on her pad, she always lifts her left back paw about 1/4 inch and balances on the other three so she won't get her paw wet. She's a little priss pot too...except when she's rough housing with my husband, son, or the Lab.

LOL Lilo lifts her foot too. I thought that it was because she used to live in a house of all male dogs. She doesn't mind the wind because she will chase the leaves. It is just the rain that she wants to be a little high maintenance. We tried the pad and all she did was look at us like we were crazy and scoot it out of her way, then went to the door for us to let her out.
