Trip to the park!! - Maltese Dogs Forum : Spoiled Maltese Forums

My parents were away this weekend and instead if making a normal dinner I decided to do a picnic. It was cold frosty typical winters day here but I live near mountains and there are lots of places that are parks in and around the mountains. I wasnt worried about daisy cause I knew she had her nice new coat. So I got a blanket doggy treats sandwiches and flask of tea and off we went!!!

Daisy had a ball she met ducks!! Se was afraid at first and then I think the poor ducks got afraid while she tried to run after them. The park keepers had obviously gathered up some of the fallen leaves into big piles well needless to say there wasn't much left of the pile. The park people were really nice about it and they loved her!!! She was great came back to me when I called her and greeted everyone. We were a bit dirty afterwards but she had so much fun. I took a flask of warm water for daisy so she wouldn't get cold. She actually cries when we had to go!!

My only regret I forgot my phone and camera but it was nice to switch off for a bit and just have me and daisy time

I would have loved to seen pics from this but that is great that you and daisy had some time just for yourselves with no interruptions. I am sure that she enjoyed that greatly. And meeting ducks was a huge deal to her I am sure.

I've probably asked before but where abouts are you from? I'm in Limerick.

Maybe Milo and Daisy can have a playdate some day

Orla I'm outside newry the co.down side. In about 15-20 mins from newry. So countryside but near town best of both worlds. My cousin used to work down in limerick an my mums from bundoran which isn't overally far from you couple of hours.

Deborah it was great fun I had a messy puppy that looked like she was dragged through a hedge but she had a ball. I imagine your Dewey would have loved it was thinkin of him at the time. He seems to be bit like daisy a total live wire I think I should of called daisy flash or something she isn't quiet in the slightest!!

Oh, that sounds like such a nice day! I would love to see pics or video of that too. So, you have got to do it again one day and then share pics/video with us.
