Ya the people in the pet store look at me like I'm crazy when it takes me an hour to pick out a bag of treats because I have to read every single label about where its made and all the ingredients. Guess what.......I really don't care what they think of me!

Maybe I got lucky with friends & family, but most understand. If anyone ever says anything about me spoiling, they say it in a jokingly loving way, not a way that's trying to make me feel like I'm doing wrong. But if anyone thinks my spoiling is wrong, I really don't care. When they start paying my bills and taking care of me, then MAYBE I'll let them tell me what to do or not to do.

I always told people my dog was not spoiled, she was privileged, and furthermore, she deserved it.
PS She also deserved it WAY more than many people making snap judgments about how well I treated my dog. Why do people have a problem with that? I never got it, still don't. So what if I do give my dog the best life I can? Is there some sort of limit to how good I can be to her? Is there a rulebook someplace that only animal-resenting jerks know about and I don't, where it says how many sweaters I can buy a dog, or what kind of treats she gets? Some people are freaks, and it's not the animal lovers, IMO.

I'm probably judged by people, even family members, they are smart enough not to let me hear them!! LOL

Yep... all the time. Especially since mine are always wearing clothes!
Gus has a lot of allergies that cause skin issues... the shirts help keep that down. And Grace - well she is just too cute NOT to dress ![]() I stopped caring. I'm judged all the time with my illness... it's an "invisible" illness - looking at me I look healthy. So I learned a few years back to just ignore people. My dogs and I are happy, that is what matters

I haven't been judged yet, but I also haven't taken her around town much since her shots aren't done. Some people think it's ridiculous that I bath her every week, but then I have to explain she has hair like a person and ask them how they would like to not wash their hair for a few weeks. I have been picked on for her having health insurance when I don't. But I can voice when something is wrong with me and take care of it. She can't, so I want her to be taken care of.
