So ive been crate training snowy since i first got him and everything has been going well. I have never let him have free run of the house without me watching him because i have carpet and am afraid he might have a accident. he is now about to be 8 months is this a good time maybe to let him run around unsupervised as in hes in the living room and im in the bedroom?

I think he's a big boy now so it should be okay! Especially if you're still in the house

The answer to that isn't really age based.
It is more related to how well he is doing with is house breaking. Does he use a pee pad? Or go outside? If he goes outside - does he have a way to alert you if he needs to go potty?

More than house breaking, I'd be concerned about Gustave chewing on stuff. He's not ready yet at 6mo old.
