Hi Lyndsy,

I just emailed Lynn with the same question about Gottcha days...here's what she responded:

"Gottcha Day is usually celebrated by something that has a Rescue Fluff as they don’t know the actual Birthday – so they celebrate the day they “got” the fluff – Hence “Gottcha Day”. Others that have birthdays in December and already participate in Secret Santa, as an example, prefer to celebrate another day instead of the birthday, so they also use the “Gottcha Day”. "

Yep

Gus and Grace have December birthdays.

Their day we brought them home is in February. Just easier

Sometimes I think I should celebrate that with them instead of their birthdays. Gus's is a guess but still... it's a bit crazy in December for us.

But our birthdays are so close to Christmas I didn't want to do their b-days.... they are so close to Secret Santa.

Sassy's birthday is also in December and might be too much for someone participating in Secret Santa. Of course I guess I could just choose another date, or the date we brought her home....or my birthday. I love getting stuff for Sassy.
