I can totally understand how you feel. So happy that Gustave had a good experience with his first time at day care. It's nice to know you have a place he can go to that you trust when you need to use them.

Yes, you're right. It's nice to know we have a back up plan if we actually ever need daycare.

For sure. Zoe has separation anxiety when left alone which I need to work on with her but I was thinking about a daycare if necessary.

Oh don't worry the fact the dogs are veted is a great thing. I wish there was something like that here. Daisy is really bad when I leave its unreal even with my parents in the house she still cries the house down. Keep yourself busy go for a nice cup of tea and bun with your husband or go to Christmas market etc if there is one. Enjoy some alone time knowing that Gustave is in good care and is treated well.xxx

I think you're doing a great thing by taking Gustave to this daycare. It sounds like he had a good first day and hopefully will continue to do well there and have more fun. I tried to do day care with Bailey when he was a puppy for exactly the same reasons you mentioned but could not find a facility in my area that I felt comfortable with. Well, I found one that I THOUGHT would be great and took him there a few times until I had a bad experience with one of the staff members (posted a thread about it) and never took him back. Since then I've moved out of the area and have been thinking about trying a day care here.

Good luck and keep us posted on how Gustave does!

Yes, it is so hard to find daycare you like. Or even a vet, groomer, etc. I hope we end up loving this daycare.

We went out to a bar yesterday followed by a movie! Does that count?

I wish there was a daycare near me so I could send Milo there sometimes - he really lacks interaction with other dogs now

This is so great for Gustave!
