Your bad weather is headed this way for Friday and Saturday.

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.

Been home for a while now, they didn't let us out early but the roads weren't too awful (just mostly). The boys survived. Tucker had a complete blast romping around in his first snow fall I ran with him a bit in the yard before we came in. He is not a fan of the snow clumps on his legs.

I just took him out to potty, it is utterly creepy. I have never been in a snowstorm where there was thunder and lightning before. The sky is creepy and not quite dark due to all the drifting snow, and it's completely quiet except for the occasional sound of cracking tree limbs or the gusts of wind which are just starting to really pick up.

Kinda makes me more determined to get them potty pad trained.

Glad you made it home safely and hoping you will have today off of work . I was totally not loving the potty pad training idea, but I am SO glad that we changed our minds. We bought the UgoDog and it really was a God send for us. Bella is much happier and we still take her outside a lot of the time. It's so great having an easy to clean indoor potty option. BTW, we live in Virginia and have had the snow and thunder at the same time before. You are right that it is so strange! Isn't it interesting though how the earth becomes so beautifully still and quiet during snow? I love the summer (obviously considering my screen name on here lol), but there is something very sacred about that quiet stillness of snow fall. Yall stay safe.

Shelly, you're sending it this way! The rain started overnight and the snow is supposed to start around 5:00 pm today - just in time to mess up a Chicago evening rush hour!

I know what you mean about the fluffs coming first - I live in a townhome with snow removal but the girls have to go to the groomer first thing tomorrow morning. I'm off work tomorrow but if the snow plow hasn't gotten to my driveway by 6:30 am, I will have to do a quick shovel so I can get them to Groomingdales for their "spa day."

Shelley, hope the weather didn't get too bad for you. I know what your saying about the fluffs.....we always worry as they do come first.
