Funny malt stuff..please tell - Page 3 - Maltese Dogs Forum : Spoiled Maltese Forums

Hubby always wakes me by bringing a cup of coffee in the morning-- as soon as he puts the T-disc in the machine Pippa goes wild. She dances on her hind legs all the way down the hall, and when I get up she gets in front of me and dances backwards on her hind legs all the way back.

Cozette LOVES to play ball, and when she wants to play she will being the ball, make sure I'm looking at her, then let the ball slowly roll out of her mouth at my feet. When I throw the ball, if Pippa gets it first, she will grab it out of her mouth somehow and bring it back to me.

When I want to have playtime with Cozette, I tell her, "Oh no, what time is it now?" Cozette gets so excited she will frantically run around looking for a toy. She'll look under the couch, all around the playroom, under the beds, and finally to her toybox in the other room if she doesn't find a toy in the family room. She gets herself in such a tizzy, it's too funny.

If I give all the dogs a treat, all of them go to where the others are and check out what they've been given. Cozette will leave her treat to check the others' out, and Pippa sneaks over and grabs Cozette's treat. In the meantime Cozette grabs Pippa's treat, and around it goes, LOL. Pippa is very fast, and will often end up with everyone else's treat-- then she sits on them! She has so much fur that it completely hides the treats, so she'll sit there looking totally innocent while the others try to figure out where their treats went.

This isn't just a maltese thing, it could happen to any small dog. When Pipper was just a tiny little puppy and it was a very windy day, I took him out to do his business. There he was all humped up having a poop when a big gust of wind came along and caught him from behind and it actually lifted his hind legs and butt up in the air as the poor little guy was pooping. I laughed so hard I almost fell over.

Now thats fricken funny! As a guy I know not to P into the wind but this is a new one on me! I'm picturing the aerodynamics of this, humped over forming a wing, wind comes along and off Toto goes to OZ! Someone call the wizard and tell him to send the little guy home, or do they make ruby slippers in fours?

I LOVE all of the responses ! They are all so cute and smart ! I forgot to mention My malt does not eat her kibble or canned food unless she sees me putting a drop of olive oil on the food. This is for real. She is that picky ! If I have forgotten she will smell it and not eat a single thing unless there is olive oil on top. I tried regular vegetable oil once and she did not eat it at all. She wants olive oil !!!

We call Isabella circus dog because she will hop around on two legs to get a treat. She can balance a good 30 seconds. Also when she mad at me she won't kiss me. If I try to kiss her she sticks her paws in my face.
