Still here... resting. A lot to do the next few weeks.

We're still here. I'm resting a lot. Reading everything....but not able to post much.

Having a lot of neurological symptoms from needing to use my inhaler. Steroids = Lyme growth. twitching and seizure like jerking. Just lots of fun

Gus's foot is healing. We are almost there! He is off antibiotics. Still waiting on the tests. I have a feeling the holidays put a hiccup in it. Will be calling them Monday if I don't hear anything. But since he's getting better I'm sure it is all fine.

Grace gets blood work in a week and a half.... just to recheck things - make sure she is all set for her spay. I set it up a month before we plan to spay her so that they can double check everything they need and if she needs to stop any of her treatment or start anything (to help her body clear the anesthesia faster), we have time.

Making a list of all the urgent care vet hospitals nearby just in case. I have a really good feeling, though.... that she is ready now and it will go well. Still nervous as anything, but that knot in my stomach is gone.

Her dew claws will be coming off. The nails, after all these months of clipping are starting to leave red marks on her leg. They grow inward spiraling... and as I suspected, the more I've clipped, the worse it's gotten. Will be glad to get those things off.

Need to alter her onesies... I went with a larger size. She fits newborn, but the 3 month fits better for the length, so I need to cinch the neck. The extra poof will probably be good anyway.

Also need to make her a few soft cones for night. Will be okay watching her during the day but not confident while sleeping.

The donut that fits her won't work for her paws. And all the regular cones that fit her neck are too short.... the ones long enough are too big at the neck so slide off, or tip forward LOL.

So I got some cute girly flannel fabric to sew her a few soft cones. Thought about doing just a flat disc type, but think she will have problems with that. Thought about making a donut type, but I don't think that will work great, either... it would have to be so fat to keep her nose away from her paws that she wouldn't be able to move much LOL So just doing a normal cone shape that's longer with some padding. I got some stiff collar interfacing to give it the structure, but it will still be soft.

I think that's it for now. Hoping my twitching subsides soon so I can start sewing.

I have the onesies.

I ordered petflex - the wrap that will be used on her legs. Been thru multiple rolls with Gussy's legs.... so I ordered a box.

Need to get her laundry basket sorted - where she will sleep and hang out for a few days after.

I know it seems early to do all this but with my treatment...this month will go by so fast.

Anything else she might need?

Maybe some soft cuts of fleece for blankets....

I want to have it all ready and organized. Makes my life much easier.

Chrissy stayed in her crate and I put an extra soft blanket in there for her. That made her more comfortable and she was just fine.

Thinking of you Tori! I know you'll get through this and little Grace will do fine with her surgery. Just remember to take care of yourself! I'm praying your treatment will go well. You're such a good fluff Mama.
