Just like the couple in Miami who's fluffs were in the car in a parking garage while they went grocery shopping, got stolen. One was found injured a month later and the other finally 3 months later....They were really lucky to get them back at all...
I used to leave mine in the car for a little bit, in our small town, while we ate at restaurants,but we'd sit right where we can see them. We don't do that now. We either get take away or we leave them at home if we can't take them to eat at an outside restaurant.. We miss taking them and we miss them the whole time we're gone but think of how we'd miss them if anything happened to them...

I just read the San Francisco article. That's horrifying! I used to drive on Leavenworth street as a shortcut to pick up my husband until he asked me to please don't as it's a difficult area. That poor dog died brutally because his owner did the right thing pulling over to get a phone call. What's wrong with people?!

Last Christmas my sister came down and started complaining about Jasmine's behavior. I said I was sorry, but what could I do at this time!! She kept on and on about her and my mom and I thought that she expected for me to put Jasmine outside until she left. Well, the only person who would be outside would be my sister!!! Nobody and I mean Nobody will separate me from my baby!!!!

I don't know which is a bigger nightmare of mine... taking one or both pups out with me and something horrible happening like in SF, or just having them out on a leash, or leaving them at home and someone breaking in and something something similarly horrible to my pups...
When we buy a house, I definitely want home security for that reason exactly... what a world we live in

I think about home break ins too but we live in the country and rarely have issues. Most break ins are in town...so far..
When we lived in Naples we had a security system, and we will again when we retire and move back....Been trying to talk hubby into it...just for the fluffs!
