Praying for your little one. I had a little female that came to me with kennel cough I had no idea what it was and went to the pet ER in the middle of the night! It sounds awful, doesn't it? They treated her and she was fine.

prayers from here as well. I know any sound Louie makes that is out of the ordinary and I am all over it checking to see what may be wrong. I've had many other dogs before and I know sometimes they make a strange sound. Once in a while I'll hear a cough or sneeze out of Louie but he never seems to follow it up with another one for days or even weeks.

Adding my prayers to the others. So sorry to hear this-- I know it's scary! Hopefully it's been caught early enough that he gets better very quickly.

Thanks everyone! He does have it and the vet gave him an antibiotic and a steroid. This is the second time he has had this the first time he sounded like a seal (this time he sounds like he's honking) and i googled to see why and it came up kennel cough (never heard of it before) so called his vet and was told he needs to be seen, keep him away from other animals cuz it's contagious but you can't bring him here cuz it is catchy i was very upset and called around and was told at one place (same place i took him today) and they said bring him right in and today they squeezed him in. I am thinking about going to this vet for shots and everything cuz they were really good with him and wanted to see him for the kennel cough.
