We all know a well bred Malt can be pretty spendy, so I never thought I'd pay so much for a dog, but one look at that sweet face, if she had been $10,000 I would have found a way to scrap up the money. I never thought I'd put my dogs wants before mine. Not needs, wants. I'm still wearing clothes from my freshman year 6 years ago, but I buy Sophie something new (usually a toy or treat) every time I walk into a pet store.

oh you are a bunch of girls! Spoon feeding and dressing them is what you consider things you never thought you'd do? and most of you probably had dolls and tea parties growing up. Have any of you expressed anal glands? I have and I NEVER thought I'd be doing that, didn't even know it was an option. Now with Louie here it is what ever he needs to be happy and healthy. The only thing I can say is when I was younger I never thought I'd have a cat and now I'm on my 4th. Sure I dress Louie but he doesn't have any thumbs so he can't dress himself. Plus, if I could find them Louie would be wearing Levi's, a black t-shirt, and some high top tennis shoes.

So funny. To get Lucky to eat his kibble, I have to get on the floor with him, put a piece in his mouth, he spits it out, I put it back in. On the third or fourth try, he will chew it, then I can simply hand feed him the rest of it - about 20 kibbles.

I love this thread, it's so funny. I never thought I would drive an hour each way just to get a bag of Fromm and I never ever thought I would give up going on a winter vacation to somewhere nice and warm because I couldn't stand the thought of being away from my dog for a whole week.

I never thought I would have to do........something unspeakable for Tiffany
***WARNING, SUPER GROSS*** Once Tiffany ate part of a rope toy. Then, while I was out, she started...going...and it got stuck because of the strings she ate. She tried to scoot to get it all out, but it didn't work. So I came home to a sad dog and poo trails all over my living room. I had to put her in the bathtub, grab some toilet paper, hold my breath, and pull the rest of the rope out. That...right there...is love.(She no longer gets rope toys, by the way!)

1. Buy Clothes
2. Put their hair up in a topknot 3. buy frilly shampoos and conditioners and sprays to make them smell good 4. want fancy carriers to carry them around in 5. ever understand why anyone would by a 'stroller' for dogs... seriously 6. use potty pads-so gross 7. consider 'jewelry' for my dog (I mean the necklace/collars you can buy) 8. spend an obscene amount of money on 'dog food' just so they get the best None of these, I ever thought I would do or consider, ohhhh how life and first hand experience changes your points of view
