You pave paradise and put up a parking lot. That is lyric from a very old song, but it always plays in my head when people destroy natural beauty for...what...style? the latest (stupid) rage? I don't know. People get white dogs and dye them. Why? Where is the emoticon for shaking your head in despair?

I agree...NOT until they can ask for them themselves. Oh my gosh!

Same here! It was hard enough getting Leila spayed and vaccinated, but thats to keep her well and hopefully live longer. I just can't see inflicting unnecessary pain on a pet. That's just cruel! If people want to do it on themselves, that's their business, but don't do it to an innocent little furbaby who has no say so.

There are time when I hate putting Zoey's top knot in cause I know she don't like it. I can't imagine ratios or earring. The thought of doing that to my baby... shoot any furbaby makes me sick.

OMG! Who would do that to thier furbaby. I know Libby is treated like a real baby and people wonder about me, but some of these people have children. I had a friend that told me once that Libby was just a dog and to treat her like one. Well I told her what about her daughter she was human and my furbaby was cared for better then her child. I mean come on people treat any human breathing thing with love.

Ouch!! That would have to be so painful for the dog. And for no reason, other than the owner wants to be different from everyone else. That's really horrifying.

I agree BUT it used to be before micro-chips that a number was tattooed on a dogs ear to protect it from being lost, etc. That I can understand better!
This is probably when most of you were still in the crib, but I had a dog who was tattooed---I just don't remember if I bought him that way---pretty sure I did.

I agree and feel the same way as everyone else but I wanted to inform everyone not to worry about the poor yorkie on the other forum. The thread was only a joke, Guinness does not have holes in his ears!

I am so glad to hear that, though it was a very asinine prank to play. The sad truth is that there are people out there who do it though, if nothing else I guess the thread raised awareness.
