I am utterly and completely horrified. I was viewing a different forum where someone was proudly displaying a picture of having their yorkie's ear pierced? I am dumbfounded. I have so many angry words that want to fly out of my mouth.

I like to dess up my boys-and they enjoy it, but there comes a point where it just goes too far. Are you kidding me? They are animals, they scratch themselves, one day he's going to snag that earring and spew blood everywhere. I just really don't know what to say. It offended me-and so many seemed so casual about it.

Am I looking at it wrong? I googled the subject and found that there are tons of people out there who get their pets pierced AND have elaborate tatoos put on them. I'm ok with people having tatoos, but putting them on pets for the sake of fashion? Again, I had no idea people did this kind of thing.

I agree with you....but people are crazy. I once knew a Turkish family that had their cats ears pierced....OMG I was sick to my stomach. I get angry just thinking about what some people do.

That is just awful!!!! I felt horrible enough getting her spayed, which was a necessity. I couldn't imagine hurting her like that for no reason other than vanity. It's not like she could ask me to get her ears pierced!

People are so screwed up. It makes me sick.

I think that some people should have to pass some kind of test before they can become puppy/kitty or skin parents!!

I find that's to be animal abuse, getting my ears pierced hurt, I would never make my puppy go through that. And tattoos- I won't even get one myself out of fear of needles. It just makes me sick

People are nuts. Tattoos and piercings are fine for those who can make the conscious, informed decision to get them. Obviously, to any sane person, that would automatically exclude children and animals. Also, obviously, the people who do this consider their pets to be fashion accessories. Ridiculous.
