Bella will be one in Wednesday and I am as excited for her birthday as I get when it is one of my kids' birthdays. My family has been giving me a (good natured) hard-time about the gifts that I have been buying her in anticipation of her special day...but I just can't help myself because she is such a joy to me. It's hard to believe that at this time last year I was searching for my special fluff after waiting for an eternity for just the right time in my life/household to add a maltese. It wasn't an easy journey to find her - lots of ups and downs - but I received a lot of support from SM members and colleagues. A BIG thank you to all who helped me a long the way with support, advice, info, and friendship. Being part of this forum for the past year has taught me much and has made being owned by a maltese even more enjoyable than I could have imagined.

Hope, it sounds like the struggle find her was certainly worth it. She sounds like just the perfect little girl for your family in so many ways!

Awww thanks everyone! I'm super excited about one of Bella's presents! I found someone online at eBay that makes dog chaises when I was helping my niece look for a bed for the Pom pup she is getting next month. Anyway, she found one she liked and it was so cute but not the right colors for my living room. I had an idea of what i would like so I contacted the seller and they will make a custom order for me for Bella. I can't wait. She loves her beds so I think she wil love having her very own doggy size chaise.

Wow, lucky Bella is going to have her own chaise. Your a great Mommy and I am sure she will love it. Please post pics when you get it...would love to see it and maybe get one for Zoe.
