I think that they like our body warmth and would rather snuggle by us. That bed sure looks comfy!! My bed is too high for mine to sleep with me also.

I dont know if this helps but when i got holly a new bed she would not sleep in it a friend of mine told me dogs do alot of things based on scent so i took a shirt i had worn and rubbed my scent in her bed and rubbed her with a small towel and rubbed that in the bed finally she started sleeping in it.

I'm wondering if the fact that the bed is kind of closed in with high sides is the reason she won't use it. I went to the Dollar General and bought one that is almost flat..so we'll see...if not I need to find a pillow that is a bit smaller than the one I use for her now.
The pink bed won't go to waste...the cats love it...LOL But I would love to find one that she will use on the bed up by our heads at night where she likes to sleep. |

If you have a pillow case on the pillow you are using now, maybe try putting that on the new bed. Just a thought.

I put the pillowcase on her bed last night and even though she spent the whole night right by me, this morning about 6:30 she got up and flopped on the dogbed and spent the next hour or so snoring on it, so hopefully, she's realized its hers. I just wish she had done that with the $25 beautiful pink plush bed, instead of $5 bed from Dollar General...arghh!!!
