I bought this for Mia and it was delivered today. It fits well in between our pillows on our bed. How do I get her to use it?

Our bed is really high too. My husband is 6'4" and when he stands next to it, it hits him in the waist. I have to climb up on it. Mia knows stay....she doesn't get close to the edge very often and when she does she comes back when called. Once its time to go to sleep, she comes up to her pillow and and doesn't move the rest of the night. But, I'm hoping she will accept the bed in place of the pillow she's been sleeping on.

Our bed is high too. I have to use the steps to get in it and the bed is on the lowest setting. When we first got it, the men asked me which one I wanted it on and I said the highest one. Well, I got on it and could touch the ceiling fan with my toes, LOL. So I had them lower it.
I think the bed is pretty. We just learned "place" in training class. You could try that. Lure her in it with a treat and when she's got her body in it, tell her "good girl, place" while giving the treat. After doing that awhile, she will learn to go there where you tell her the word place. Or use the word bed or whatever you want to call it to her. Sent from Petguide.com Free App |

Okay, first off, what kind of bed do you have. I made mine higher by using bedrisers and a 4" thick memory foam topper...
Thanks for the tip on the dogbed...I will do that tonight.. She may go in by herself...we'll see. |

The bed looks comfy, feels comfy, etc..but she won't have anything to do with it. I ended up putting the pillow back last night. She wouldn't go near me the bed there except to take the treats I offered her....LOL I really want her to sleep in it because it takes up much less room in between us and fits right up between our pillows.
Help!!!! I tried praising her when she gets into the bed but once she took the treats she got out of it and laid down on the other side of the bed..... I guess it will take more than one night. |

We bought Rocko a nice comfy bed too and would pick him up and place him in it a few times. After a short time, when Rocko would get sleepy, he'd run and get in his bed!
I think it just takes some time!
