This is so funny, and the same at my house. My DH would love for both of our dogs to be in full coat! Now mind you, he does not want to participate in any type of grooming duties either. So, it becomes by call. But every time I have them cut a bit, he complains. He says, "what's the point of having long coated dogs, if you are going to cut it all off!" I agree to an extent. I like a longer cut, but it has to be managable in the real world (not the show world).

I like Rocky's hair medium length, some would say it's still short. But it's about 8 inches long from his part on the top of his back down. His legs are a little shorter than I'd like. I have the opposite problem. I groom him most of the time, but if I decide to bring him in and get charged 50.00, hubby wants his money's worth and wants Rocky in a puppy cut. I take care of him, train him, groom him, so I make all the decisions concerning Rocky. George is just a big toy to Rocky! He won't even try brushing him...so I have the final say. Duly noted and duly disregarded....I like that!
