Default Free standing gates

Does anyone here use them? I have an area that needs to be blocked at times. It's between my kitchen /eating area and is wide, about 150 inches. I'm thinking about getting two free standing gates, each one expands to about 71 inches. Do they move, if the dogs lean on them? Here's an example of one.

That's the set up that I have now. I don't want to install something into the wall, but I want it to be sturdy and easy to move. My hubby has a bad knee, and can't step over the gate , especially since it is a step down into the family room. I've two x pen panels, plus a playard panel rigged up, but it Velcroes on the spindles, and zip tied together ...... It's a mess!

Hi Deb - I have one that looks a lot like the one you pictured. I really like it a lot and Bella can't move it.

Good to know, I've never used the free standing before.

That's a good idea. I'm going to be getting a babygate to keep Sammy out the kitchen when i'm cooking, in the next week or two. He's constantly lying on my feet or sitting behind me when i'm cooking and i'm so afraid he'll get burnt with something.

That's one reason I need a gate, when I'm cooking there is always one under my feet, I'm afraid I'll step on one of them. They don't have to be behind the gate all the time, but when cooking, washing the floor, or people over, I need it!

Default Free standing gates

We have this Richell 3-in-1 pen and like it a lot. It's pretty heavy, Gustave has never been able to move it. I also like the flexibility it offers. I can use it as a gate, as a pen, to create 'walls' etc.
