Sophie's 6 months old today! Time goes by so fast. She's definitely starting her day off spoiled. She hates eating with the cone on, so she'll only eat if I hand feed her. One. Kibble. At a time. Oh the joy when you have meds that require a full meal to take. Later on the schedule is lots of cuddles for my big girl and a much needed bath

She had a reaction to her internal stitches and got an infection

she has the cone on to keep her from messing with it and she's on antibiotics and the gave her some light pain meds because they had to open up the infected area a little bit to drain it out. It already looks much better, but I don't want her having access to it until I'm confident she's healed.

Try putting her in a baby onesie, it will prevent them from getting to the stitches and be more comfortable to wear. But you need to take the out frequently for potty, tucking the snaps. I did this for teddy after his neuter, and by day three he forgot all about the stitches.

I did that after her spay about 5 weeks ago, this is an infection from the internal stitches. But she's much better now, thank you though for the suggestion
