So i went to petco today and bought a pretty sweater and a few other outfits but when i put the sweater on her she won't move or go anywhere but hide in the closet i think she don't like wearing clothes. The only time she wear clothes is when we go out she don't mine then but not in the house. Do anybody know why she won't wear clothes in the house and do your maltese wear clothes

Mia likes her clothes in or out of the house. She has new pajamas and it will be cold here all day Sunday, so she will hang out in her new jammies all day. She doesn't seem to mind any of the sweaters and t-shirts either.

Jasmine will wear clothes anywhere. I bet she just has to get used to it.

Oakley is good about sweaters when he knows we are going bye bye. In the house he sometimes tries to chew at them. I think you just have to keep putting them on your little one. My friend has a westie that will even wear sunglasses. I doubt I could ever get a dog to wear those.

Maddie is okay with most clothes besides hoodies. She cannot stand wearing a hoodie. Also she hates anything is tight in the armpits.

Cloths well Mr Yogi does prett good- whats funny is there are times he has nothing on and say hes being very very bad.
well i put a snuggie or a fleece top sweater what ever and he clams down and sleeps--i should have never bought that thundershirt.
any thing he has works.

Its Like a gave him a seditive. I Just love my baby boy.

Isabella HATES wearing clothing. As it is winter here and I take her out for short walks each day, I make her wear her ski-jacket. At first, she would just sit down and not move. Now, since she loves her walks, she will let me put her jacket on. But if it is nice and sunny out and above zero Celcius, I just walk her without one. I also find that because her hair is so fine and soft, she tangles very easily. I will have to be satisfied with pretty bows (well right now she hates those too).

When I taught Lacie to wear clothes, she was about 6 months old. At first, she only got dressed when we were going "bye-bye" in the car as this was her very favorite thing to do.

Then we advanced to putting on clothes whenever we went for a walk (her second favorite thing).

Then we advanced to putting on clothes when we played in the house. Then to when she got a treat.

The point is, Lacie learned to associate wearing clothes with FUN things and after about a month or so, she really loved dressing up. She's now 8 and still will go to her wardrobe (yes she knows her armoire) and ask to be dressed. And, if I get clothes for her out, she is very excited as she still associates being dressed with haveing F-U-N!!!

Tilly and then Secret just went with the flow. If Lacie was happy, then they were happy. So they never seemed to mind being dressed, but they've never asked to be dressed the way that Lacie does.

Sometimes you have to start young. Some fluffs don't like clothes and others don't mind.......all fluffs are different.
