I often come across funny, unusual, or interesting names, and thought others might be interested in those names.
The funniest name I have heard in ages came from a friend. He rescued a little siamese kitten from a dumpster and named her after a character in the tv show,Family Guy. His cat's name is Asian Reporter Tricia Takanawa (Trish or ARTT for short) It cracks me up every single time I hear it. (It helps if you are a fan of the show)Another great cat name I heard was Cat Fantastic! (the ! was part of the name) A friend's dog's name is Linkin Bark (after the band Linkin Park ) What are some of your all time favorite pet names?

Many years ago when I was married we had an Irish Setter named Sparkle Farkle. Most of you are too young to remember but there was a TV show called Laugh In and it had a comedy skit about this family where everyone had red hair and freckles and they were called the Farkle family. So, since she had red hair and her personality was sort of goofy like those on the show, we named her Sparkle Farkle. Her brother, who we also had was a bully, so his name was Bulligan... sort of Irish sounding, yet not really a "real" name ... (we got him at 1-1/2 years & already named.)

One day when I was at the vet's office, I was looking at the sign in sheet and someone's pet's name was "Mr. Priss". I thought that was kinda unusual. Also, when I was a kid, my mom got a shitzu from a lady who had to get rid of him and his name was "Sir Lance A Lot". We just called him Lance.

I know a dog, her name is Elizabeth. She's a beauty....she was a little pudge ball when she was a baby, they would call her Beef or Elizabeef.
On another note, my mother had a red dobie named Amber. My great uncle, who is hard of hearing came over to visit one day when she was a pup and said "Oh, he's a cutie, what's his name" My mother said she's a girl, and her name is Amber. He said "Hamburg!? That's an odd name for a pup!" I cracked up laughing, and my mother gave me a nudge to shush.....and she said louder "Her name is Amber!" He said "Oh, now that's a nice name....I'm glad you changed it" LOL So, occasionally we'd call her Hamburg...

My Rottie had a great name too, I was a fan of Kenny Rogers and I love his song Rueben James, but because Rube had to have a kennel name attached his official name was Von Eiffel Rueben James, and I used to say that is one heck of a name tag.
I had 4 Burmese cats and three of them were named after groups like Poco, Smokey and Toto and the odd one out was named Pepsi because we used to drink a lot of Pepsi. I named my Dobie after Shari Lewis because I liked her, and besides Shari was such a beautiful red Dobie and moved very gracefully so I thought the name was appropriate.

Does anyone here watch "24" the television show?
Jack's full name is actually "Jack Bow-wow-er" (from the star of that show, Jack Bauer) and whenever my boyfriend's friends see him, they all yell out "JACK BOW-WOW-ER!" really loud and Jack comes a-runnin !!

I recently introduced you guys to my beloved Sheltie Woofie who passed away two years ago. When we first got him, the movie Motzart movie "Amadeus" was the biggest thing going. His full registered name was "Wolfgang Amadogus." Our Sammie's sire was Tiger's Eye. His dam was Stacy's Wild Rose. Thus, Tiger's Wild Samson. Believe me when I tell you is middle name is wild.

When I was a little girl my parents got me a Collie. None of us in the family really cared for dogs but being good parents thought all children needed a dog to grow up well rounded. I was scared to death of dogs, cats, and birds. Guess you could say I was scared of anything that moved.
So here we were with this Collie. My parents wanted me to name him. I didn't want the dang dog. No one came up with a name so the poor dog went through life being called.......................... you guessed it COLLIE
