Unfortunately, I will be switching to another Dog and Cat food since it is apparent that all four of our animals are not going to be on Blue Buffalo as of today.
Our two Cats just started on a new bag and they have become quite ill and our Snuggles also has become ill again with diarreaha and the cats both with diarreaha and vomiting. Snuggles is also having diarreaha and looks as though that all three of them will be going to the Vets this afternoon. The sales person in Petco recommended Merrick but I thought that I had read something a while back that it has had some issues and do not want to start with it if that is the case. They do not sell Fromm, but Avo Derm (said that it had issues too) Wellness, Castor Poulux, Natural Ballance, and other varieties of holistic/organic foods. I am looking for something that is not too high in protein and would like to keep it in the mid range if I can. With that in mind, recommedations would appreciated. |

I switch between Earthborn Holistic small breed and Fromm. I also top the Kibble off with .natural Balance or Fresh Pet. My dogs like it, and they've never had any digestive issues with them.

Thanks for [posting your responses to my food issues. I had Snuggle's stool sample tested while I was at our Vet's for the same issues for our two Cats. Apparently, Snuggles has a definate bacterial problem and I was sent home with an antibiotic which is the same as for Toodles and Tiffany.
Before we switched to Blue Buffalo, both Snuggles and Chrissy were on Natural Balance with no issues. Not sure whether or not I will switch back to NB. At least I know that it was not a food issue for Snuggles which might have caused her problems. She had that same problem (much worse) in October and our Vet said that at her advanced age, this could happen again. |
