Default big poop--> small poop on probiotics, anyone??

soooo i recently have been giving Ein Purina FortiFlora Canine Nutritional Supplement, which is a fancy name for probiotics(i think) for the past week or so... and one of the biggest thing I've noticed is his poop size- it really used to be gigantic(for his size) 4-5" sizes, to smallish 1-3" little poops- while his meal portions have not changed. also the poo color,, went from medium/light brownish to dark dark brown with probiotics(same food brand). def less stink too. I wonder if he is just growing up bigger now, and is digesting better, or it really is that probiotic supplements are helping him? anyone notice their fur-babies poop size with different diet? or with supplements?
