I'm normally an advocate of home cooked meals for my fluff, but with my recent hectic schedule, I'm just not able to keep up. Which is why I've decided to try out some good quality canned foods as an alternative. I purchased the GO! GRAIN FREE Freshwater Trout Recipe as well as the GO! GRAIN FREE Chicken, Turkey + Duck Recipe to start. The feeding guidelines on the cans are as follows:
Feed 3/4 to 1 1/4 cans per 15lbs of body weight per day. I know that the feeding guidelines on dog food are normally too high, so I was hoping the awesome SM community can help me figure out how much to feed my Teddy bear. She currently weighs between 10 and 11 pounds. My gut (and calculations) tell me I should be feeding her about half a can a day, but is that enough? Or is it too much? |

I would agree w/that---maybe 1/4 C. AM & 1/4 C. PM. I would also give some treats during the day.

I'll re-calculate it for Teddy's weight and compare ![]() Quote:
It's from a Canadian family owned business called Petcurean. I did a lot of research before deciding on a canned food, and the Go! line from Petcurean seemed to be the best fit. It also received a 5 start rating on Dog Food Advisor |
