I am in the Northern Virginia Area and have noticed a significant increase in the cost of the Merrick Flossies, which Lizzie absolutely loves.
When I moved out here, there were about $4 a flossie, which is a little more than I paid in suburbs of Chicago. I bought some last month and they were $5. Now, I went back to the store today to get Lizzie her doggy crack, and they are $6.29. I said something to the clerks about the increase in price, and they just said all of Merrick bully sticks and chewies are costing more now. Is anyone else seeing this increase in their area? It seems like a significant increase over the last month. I also saw on-line that I could buy a 50 pack for $116. How long do you think I could keep them around the house? 50 are a lot to store for a while...but it would be about 2.62.ea much more economical. |

BTW- I bought her a knock off flossie about 2 weeks ago when I was at petsmart. She took it out of her toy box and its been sitting on the floor ever since. Today I put the knock off and the merrick flossie in the toy box... within 5 minutes, the merrick flossie is out of the box, and she is gnawing on it!!! What a little diva...She's come a long way from the puppy mill.

I think you're right about price increases in all bully sticks/flossies no matter what brand they are.
A few days ago I bought a curly bully stick (red barn brand) at Petco, and the stupid thing was $4.50 or something when I could have sworn they were only around $3 a few months ago.
