Hey everyone,

My PO is currently on NB duck and potato dog food. He was doing great with it the past few months. No problems at all. All the tear stains is gone, same as the gas. However, starting from this month, his tear stain started to coming back again. He is 8 months old now. Should I change food for him? Or should I put him on Angel's eye (would it be too young for that?) I read some topic from this forum. Some suggest that they should change food every 3 months to reduce the allergies. Is it true?

I am just wondering should I change to a different brand or should I just change to NB's version and potate (allergy formula) ?? Any suggestions are more than welcome to tell me!!

Considering the time of year, I would suspect inhalent allergies.

I would agree with JMM...it sounds like because his staining was cleared up for a while, that he has some other allergy...and it is spring afterall.

If you do decide to change foods, I would recommend the NB Sweet Potato & Venison. I did have London on the NB Potato & Duck and 1) She didn't like it very well, but ate it. 2) Her mild tear staining did not improve like I was hoping it would. 3) Her poop was sometimes a little soft (but 90% of the time they looked good). I've had her on the Sweet Potato & Venison for a few weeks now and I think her staining is actually clearing up...so she may have a mild poultry allergy.

Thanks for the answer!! So should i do anything about it except cleaning his face every night before bed? Do I need to bring him to the vet and check on it?
Since Po's NB Duck and potato is running low, I just bought the NB's Version and sweet potato. I hope that would help him a little bit!
