Hi everyone,
I picked up my new puppy, Maddie on Friday. The breeder gave me specific instructions on what to feed her and when: I feed her a tablespoon of yogurt, baby food, and wet food in the morning (separate, not mixed together) and at dinner she gets some hard food mixed with a tablespoon of wet food and then a tablespoon of yogurt and baby food. Maddie barely takes one lick of anything. I leave out hard foos for her at all times and she seems to eat some of that. I have also been giving her nutri-cal 5 times a day. Other than that she is doing great! Sleeping, playing, pooping, and peeing...any suggestions!! Thanks for the help! Sandy |

First of all welcome to SM !!!! If you did not take your pup to a Vet that should be the first thing. Make sure you bring Poop with you .Second call your breeder and say whats going on, it could be just from coming to a new home .Good luck and keep us posted.

I have always fed my puppies by hand if they won't eat. I put them in my lap or else I sit on the floor and put some food in my palm and they will always eat that way. It will help keep them from being possessive of their food later, too. And don't be worried about them not ever eating on their own again. I've never had any issues with that.
I hope your baby starts eating!!! |
