I bought the ones at PetSmart too and Leila had fun going up and down them the first evening. Then she just started jumping up onto the couch and off of it...which is what I wanted to prevent by getting the steps. She hadn't done the jumping prior to getting them. Now she doesn't use the steps at all. I have a very high Rice Bed that I would later like to have steps for when I start letting her sleep without being crated. I want a set just like Lynda's with all the babies on them!!!! LOL!

I too have made my own. I know that they are very sturdy as when you have an 18 pound cat jumping on them all day long they have to be. I figured it was much better to make my own than buy them since I could then customize them to how I wanted them to look.

I need to make a ramp, as my vet suggested for Mia. Can you do that with this foam?
