14 weeks old - Maltese Dogs Forum : Spoiled Maltese Forums

Well my little Zoey is now 14 weeks old. She weighs a whole 3 lbs. She LOVES my chrismas bears as you can tell. She is always trying to take a nap in them. She is doing really good and is the light in her daddy's eye.

I do have a question. She still itches after she goes out, i wipe her down with babys wipes and keep her clean, but it doesnt seem to work. She is on heartworm and flea meds ( two different ones)The vet wants me to wait another 3 week ( her last set of shots) and see if the flea meds help. I also got shampoo for itchy skin from topline. Any thing else you guys might think i can try? I dont want my little girl back legs moving unless she is walking, running, playing or kicking cause mommy hit that sweet spot when she rubs her tummy. Thank you for your help and advice.

She had been trying to climb to the top of the pile. lol I guess she wants to be queen of the hill.

Oh she is so cute!! Gee 14 weeks already!! I think she is a little Princess!! You're falling behind on the pictures now, Cindy! LOL I missed some of her along the way!

I know SC has a lot of fleas!

I'd try an essential oils spray on her... many oils are flea, tick, and mosquito repellents. You could spray it on her daily. I use a spray for Gus and Grace...they smell nice.

I mix 1 cup of bottled water with 5-10 drops each of tea tree oil, lavender, and clove. Sometimes I add peppermint or lemongrass. Here is a good site:

DerMagic makes a natural flea shampoo and a natural flea "dust" (powder)using Diatomaceous Earth... it is safe for pets and people but will kill any kind of flea, tick, etc, etc....
