I can't wait to see pictures of her in her new sweater on her birthday and that sounds adorable matching a bow with a candle! I'm sorry to hear about your Lyme's and hope you're doing ok now. Will you be able to make her a Christmas sweater in time without stressing yourself too much? I know that stress can cause flare-ups and I know how stressful it can be if you're like me and trying to finish up the night before a holiday or whatever the special occasion is. I used to do that all the time when I was making clothes for my kids when they were little.

Sign up at Ravelry.com .... it's a site with knitting and crochet patterns. They have many FREE patterns.

Once you have the general pattern of a dog sweater down (I did a handful for Gus to learn the basics).... I now like taking patterns and designs from hats and making them into sweaters.

DROPS has a lot of wonderful dog sweater patterns knit in rounds. I love knitting in rounds. In fact Gus's Christmas sweater (and I need to start Grace's) is from DROPS.

Gus last year:

I alter the neck - a longer cuff, and the belly portion... I like making them ribbed so they are more stretchy and move with him better. I also like making a ribbed edge around the whole sweater not just the top back.

Not sure if I should make Grace's sweater the same, or white with red design... or green with white design.

Tori, your sweaters are amazing. You are so talented. I wish I could do something like that. But sadly, I don't have a creative bone in my body.
