Grace's birthday is Tuesday. It's almost done. I made it match the bow we got from Marj

... the bow has a candle on it. Need to weave some ends in and block it.... and make the tummy. Not decided if I want to make a few more ruffles or leave it with just the one.

Next need to start her Christmas sweater....

My grandmother taught me to do basic knitting... like scarves and squares.

Since being sick, I've learned more over the last 4 years.... sweaters, hats, gloves, mitts. When I started knitting for Gus I used patterns. But now I understand it...so I make my own.

This sweater was inspired by one I saw. But I like to put my own style into them.

Gus has a birthday sweater

I love knitting for them.

That is so cute!! My great-grandmother taught me how to knit when I was 8-years-old and I've done a little bit here and there over the years. Most of it was projects I never completed. But maybe with something small like a doggie sweater, I might finish. Do you know of any patterns you'd recommend? I can't wait to see pictures of her in her new sweater on her birthday and that sounds adorable matching a bow with a candle! I'm sorry to hear about your Lyme's and hope you're doing ok now. Will you be able to make her a Christmas sweater in time without stressing yourself too much? I know that stress can cause flare-ups and I know how stressful it can be if you're like me and trying to finish up the night before a holiday or whatever the special occasion is. I used to do that all the time when I was making clothes for my kids when they were little.
