I must say that Christmas 2012 was a pretty busy day for a little 15 week old pup. We left home at 7:00 am to travel 15 minutes to my sister's house. Waiting for us were four children (8-13), one Shih Tzu (Mozart) and a Golden Retriever (Sadie). We played for a few minutes and then paper was flying all over the place. I just sat on my mom's lap. I didn't even try to eat the ribbon, paper and anything else that was dropped on the floor. While breakfast was being served, I went into my kennel for a nap. Mom said that it would be getting busier as the day went on. WOW, did it ever. By 2 pm. there were 28 people in my sister and brother-in-law's house. Mom and Dad had worried that I might get trampled on so they brought my play yard but I stayed in mom and dad's lap. I may be small but I'm pretty smart. I am proud to report that I didn't even go potty on the floor. I went in my litter. Every time someone else came, they would tell me how cute I was and play with me. Mom made sure that little kids were supervised when they came to me. She is very protective of me. You should have seen my hair after everyone had their hands on me. I received some bows for my hair (it's not quite long enough), three warm jackets (I couldn't even wear them outside as it was -24 C---too cold for a Maltese). I got some toys and treats. We got home at 7:00 pm. I was totally exhausted. I couldn't keep my eyes open. But I had a great time. Merry Christmas everyone. What a great time of year it is.

It sounds like Isabella had very exciting first Christmas!! We too had a house full, but having 4 little ones, they were all safely penned in the upstairs bathroom, until people thinned out!

Isabella - what a good girl you were. Aren't Christmases exciting?
Tyler was with 6 children from age 8 months to 13 years and he had such a good time. Especially with the baby. I think he liked him because he was crawling and they were kind of nose to nose. He was really such a good boy and managed to stay away from being under foot
