That's only the second time, in 16 years that they've jumped the fence to come in the yard. I guess because of all the snow, they're looking for something to eat. There were 2 more on the outside of the fence.

I'm afraid we consider deer vermin. Every evening we can count between 3 and 4 DOZEN deer out in the alfalfa field in front of our house, eating our horses' alfalfa. They cost us lots of money in crop loss.
However, that photo is as pretty as a Christmas card! Just beautiful! |

Even though we live in a subdivision, there have been deer seen in our yard several times. But I have missed them. We do have lots of wooded areas in the neighborhood though, and I'm sure that's where they mostly hang out. That is such a neat view of yours and I love little Dewey!
