My little boy is getting so big! We attended his first puppy class! The trainer wanted everyone to socialize and be off their leash! This over protective mommy freaked! Thor was the smallest in his class

That would have scared me too. I don't think I would let my Malt pup off leash with a bunch of other dogs. One snatch and shake by a big enough dog and there could be a dead Maltese. Some breeds know by instinct how to shake to kill.

Thor is such a cutie!! I love his name too. How old is he now?

He did not get let off the leash

instead we walked around on the leash and socialized!!

Where are you taking your puppy class?

We've had many posts here about little fluff puppies being traumatized by socializing in a puppy class with bigger puppies.

I'd continue doing what you did tonight. That is safest.

I still love the name Thor

It is just so cute! Especially for a Maltese

That's one of the things I like about our trainer...all puppies stay on a leash.
