They are wearing belly bands. You see, my family is not very house-trained and sometimes the boys don't get to go out as much as they should...

Seriously, Dusty is a marker (retired champion, stud, neutered at four and a half) so we keep him in a belly band, strip of fabric closed with velcro with a Poise pad. It is changed several times daily and they don't sleep in it at night. They have plenty of weenus cleaning time. Jasper might wet his twice a week, Dusty's always has some wee wee in it.

I know, I know, you can train the marking out of them, but we choose to do this. I do not want to get bashed about this, please.

why would you get bashed about belly bands? They seem like a good idea to me. Dolce is a marker and he's housetrained only when I'm home. If I leave him home alone to walk freely instead of in his crate, he marks. I have been considering getting belly bands for him so he doesn't have to stay in his crate when I'm not home

. Laura, you will not be bashed for belly bands! They exist for good reason so no need to ever feel on the defense. Your home provides so much love for your fluffs and THAT is what is the most important! Some dogs mark (girls and boys) and I'd prefer not to have urine tinkled everywhere too- you do what you gotta do.
