I just have to share the following. I got this email from Judy from American Maltese Rescue. These babies need help. PLEASE step up to foster. It is just one more little dog. You will be saving a life and the rewards are so huge you cannot imagine.

Rescue Ladies,

I wanted to let you know that I heard from Tammy Osborn, Shelter/Rescue Coordinator from Orange County Animal Control yesterday regarding my inquiry on the 8 Maltese listed on their website and Pet Harbor. She told me that these 8 dogs were abandoned and are being held for evidence for 30 days. I know the dogs have been there at least 1 week.

These 8 Maltese strongly resemble Emerson and Shelby that we pulled from Orange County on Dec. 27th as these two, very neglected Maltese, had been confiscated and held as evidence for 2 months in the shelter.

Tammy told me that these dogs all have medical and dental needs. Badly neglected Maltese can be expensive. We spent $1922.75+ for Emerson and $782.01 for Shelby. The eye veterinarians in my area have been donating their exam fees which are not included in the expenses. Kennon was a dear and donated $1500.00 for Emerson’s eye surgery to graft a very large corneal ulcer.

Do you have ideas on how we can get the word out about these little darlings? I will also let the Southern CA rescue people who network dogs about these dogs.

If I were closer,I could do it, but I'm so far away and it would be too much for them to travel? They're so cute, first one looks like my Rylee!
