Please do not feel sad...don't shed a tear, but join me in celebrating the life of my perfect angel. You all know how much I love her. You all know the feeling of when a little white fluff has your heart and soul. Most of you know the pain...the excruciating pain of loosing your heart dog.
But on the fourth anniversary of Lily's passing to heaven, I don't want you to feel sad. But I just feel compelled to tell everyone who will listen how very much I loved that beautiful little girl...how much I will love her forever. Today, I do not mourn her passing, but celebrate her life. Please join me for a minute to celebrate Diamond Lily. The young girl, before her pigment was good. ![]() And my mature girl..... That's all I can do...except to add........![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bless you precious Lily....I will love you forever and ever and ever.

Those anniversaries are hard but I try to think of them as anniversaries where they were released from their early bonds to watch over us in heaven, whole and healthy again and playing with all our fluffs who've gone before.
She was and is an angel ♥♥♥

She was beautiful. So wonderful when you can get to the point of celebrating their life rather than mourning their passing. A quote I love from, of all people--Dr. Seuss--"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." I try to tell myself that whenever I think about my dogs who have passed.

Sylvia - You give me strength to know that years after losing our "heart" dog, one can celebrate the time we've had with us. What a beautiful tribute to Lily!

Im new here. I itroduced myself but im so lost on the forum thing that im not sure im even doing it right. Everytime i type something, i never hear back. Anyway, the Dr. Seuss quote touched my heart. I lost my very 1st puppy on the 4th of July. I only got to enjoy the little angel for 2 days but she already had my whole heart. I need a tissue.

Lily came to me on my fiftieth birthday...a gift from my DH. I loved her with all my heart and soul for a little over twelve years. I knew she had cancer, her vet said that it had probably metastasized to her lungs. The vet said that when she had a hard time breathing we should bring her in. Now the normal life span of a Bichon is 12 years, so Lily had achieved that. She had grown quiet, but never seemed to be in pain. Then, on a Friday night she seemed to be breathing heavily. Alan said to me that it was the end. Through the night she was calm and quiet, but she sat up all night. I woke very early. Lily gobbled up her regular breakfast, but never laid down. As soon as the grocery store opened, Alan was there to buy salmon...Lily's favorite food. At 8AM I called the vet and told her to expect us. I swallowed two Xanax to get me through. Lily enjoyed at least a half pound of raw salmon. I took her out to potty. She layed down. I carried her upstairs and put her on her pillow. Alan and I petted her and sang pretty songs to her....she went to sleep, and then she went to heaven. Her passing was beautiful. It was so beautiful, so peaceful, so full of grace. Even though my eyes are tearing up, I am forever grateful that her passing was so easy and beautiful. I only hope that I will leave this mortal coil with the grace that my Lily did.
