My deepestsympathies go ou tto you. Dixie was beautiful. There are really no words to say how sorry I am for you, and what you went through and are going through. I found this poem, I dont know who wrote it. Tribute To A Best Friend

Sunlight streams through window pane unto a spot on the floor.... then I remember it's where you used to lie, but now you are no more. Our feet walk down a hall of carpet, and muted echoes sound.... then I remember, It's where your paws would joyously abound. A voice is heard along the road, and up beyond the hill, then I remember it can't be yours.... your golden voice is still. But I'll take that vacant spot of floor and empty muted hall and lay them with the absent voice and unused dish along the wall. I'll wrap these treasured memorials in a blanket of my love and keep them for my best friend
until we meet above.

I hope he is playing with Dixie), Kathy ( I'm sorry for your loss of Buffy), Sylvia (I hope there was a Bday cake in heaven too), Diane Kennedy, Joanne, Linda, Courtney, Debbie, Cindy, Kathleen ( thanks for the very nice words), dear Marie, Edith, Sammy (thank you for the beautiful poem, I love it and it did help me. Happy 5th Birthday Dixie. I am sure that you are looking down smiling. Looks like you have led a good life based on the slide show that was provided. May you spend your days in doggie heaven looking down at your owner smiling each day remembering the good times.
