I saw ads all weekend on every page I clicked on. I guess they stay and we decide whether we want to or not.

I haven't been able to be on for a few days and I'm so sad to see this particular ad show up on practically every thread I open. It's the same one I reported on 8/27.

shopping.yahoo.com

There are also today:
Puppies.ClassifiedAds.com
Maltese Puppy Dogs - Yahoo.com
MaltiPooPuppyBreeder.com

I'm not sure they can do anything about Yahoo (I could be wrong, of course)... I think Yahoo just pops up no matter what forum or what the subject is. They just put in the name of the subject matter and add the word "yahoo" ... "Get a Maltese puppy - Yahoo.com"... You can't buy a puppy from Yahoo so at least that's good!

There are some of course that need to be removed but the Yahoo ones I see all over the web for a variety of subjects and I know they don't have the items they are promoting in the ads. But I don't think they even care... they just want their name out there and want people to go to the main Yahoo site.

Well, I won't be renewing my membership. I signed on today and saw all sorts of ads for puppies. This is ridiculous. It didn't happen when Joe owned the site. I guess money means more to this group than we do. Sorry to see how things have gone...

These crappy ads are working overtime! Every page/window in SM is peppered with them! With the "new rules" we members are no longer allowed to casually post so and so breeder has a cutie available, but it certainly appears it's OK for us to be deluged with ads of various commercial breeders for various breeds, and designer dogs. The 24/48 hour time window for reporting to removal on some of these ads has long since passed. So what gives? They are so disgusting!
