She is the sweetest little puppy anyone could ask... I posted awhile back about our new puppy Belle that we got from Fran Lovitt of Ilovitt Maltese. She is the sweetest little puppy anyone could ask for! I was quite alarmed when we went to get her at how extremely thin she was. We went ahead and brought her home, but she just really never ate much at all? I took her to my vet the next day after we got her and he agreed she seemed very thin. She seemed happy and playful, but I just new deep down something was not quite right with her. We went back to the vet on Friday and she had only gained .2 in over 6 weeks!! She went from 2.4 lbs to 2.6 lbs. She turned 6 months old on May 6th. My vet ran a blood profile panel on her and everything was pretty normal except her liver ALT was 360 with between 10-118 normal range!! I had a feeling her liver was the problem. I contacted her breeder who is willing to refund my $ and take Belle back, but we are all devastated and heartbroken. My vet is consulting with an internist and will call me on Monday. Looks like the next step will be a BAT. I am so sad and so is my 8 year old daughter. We have been in tears since finding all of this out! I am hoping to be able to find another female puppy from
another reputable breeder. If anyone knows of one available please let me know.

Her and Izzy hit it off really great. They would play well as long as my family weren't in the house. Izzy is fearful of strangers and as soon as they would come in, she would climb on the chair next to me dh and quit playing. So I took a video and some pics for them to see. Enjoy!!!

She stays here with mommy but attaches to daddy during the evening when he's home. She's doing really well on pottying and weve never had trouble with her eating at all! Thats a blessing since ive read that they tend to be finicky eaters. I was hoping she would like to snuggle more but she really never wants to sit in my lap or close next to us. All she seems interested in is playing. :mellow: Is it because she's so young? She loves to follow me around all day but i was hoping she would enjoy sitting in mommas lap 2. When i go to pick her up, she just runs from me like its a game. Maybe the older she gets she will like to snuggle more. :wub: Anyway, just wanted to introduce ourselves. I live in area that has lots of wildlife. Deer, geese, squirrels, groundhog, fox, coyote, raccoons, skunks, etc. I have seen them all. The pup would never be by himself so I am not concerned about an attack. I am concerned about him walking the same grass these guys walk and getting sick. Am I being over protective?

I loved everyone else's pictures and I have no idea how you managed to get such great shots!
I tried twice today and took over 70 pictures and still didn't manage to get one I was entirely happy with! Milo didn't really want the tiara on his head and I don't think his topknot was thick enough for the clips to hold it, so I ended up just laying it on his head and attempting to get a good shot before it fell! :blush:

It's been a long time since I've posted a thread. Isabella will be 9 months old in a few weeks. Wow, have the last 6 months gone by quickly. She is our little princess, that's for sure. It was a year since our miniature schnauzer passed away on the 16th. Still miss him terribly. But, he wouldn't have had any patience for our rambuncious girl. She is a crazy little dog. She has just finished her first obedience class: Family Manners. Of course, she was the smallest pooch there. I don't think they thought she could do as well as their dogs could do but they soon found out that size definitely does not matter. They would chuckle when Isabella strutted her stuff. Too cute. Our instructor introduced a skateboard to the class and each dog had to "go see". Even if they just looked at the board, we clicked and treated. Isabella looked and I C/T. Then she walked around it and I clicked. She put here paws on it. C/T. Next she took a flying leap and hopped on. The skateboard when into motion and she wasn't even fazed by it. There she was sailing across the floor. Everyone just laughed.

She goes into Advanced Pet in the next few weeks. Three friends will also be with her--a wheaton terrier, Jango; a coolie; Bella and a chocolate lab, Taz.

I love to dance with Isabella. She has two favorite songs--Angel by Sarah Brightman and Satellite by The Wanted. If she hears either song, she jumps up on me. I pick her up and off we go. When she waltzes, she puts her paw against my palm; she is very prim and proper. But when Satellite comes on, it is all rock n' roll.

She refuses to wear any piece of clothing but will tolerate a top knot (barely).

It's hard to imagine a time without her. We are so in love. I am off to Scotland for three weeks in August and while I am so excited to be going, I dread being away from Isabella. She is my dog; she loves dad but she is attached to hip with me. I have told David, we have to Skype often so I can talk and see Isabella.

Well, that's it for now. I love to see all the pictures of your beautiful fluffs.
