Why do u have to serve canned food at room temp? Clifford eats it cold or at room, does it really matter?
Nikki's Mom
They claim it is because it smells better to the dog when it isn't cold.

So, if he eats it cold, then it doesn't hurt them to serve it that way. I don't mind serving it at room temp, and can. Its my caregivers where I board him at that probably wouldn't remember to do this. Cool, always wanted to understand this.

I've always wondered the same thing! My dogs eat canned food cold or room temperature...makes no difference to them. I only give half a can with their kibble, so the rest of the can goes in the fridge and is served the next day.

Oh, yes, I will put out an entire plate, at times, no one touches it. So I wrap up the plate,
and in the fridge it goes. They gobble it up the following day, along with a room temperature
can.

I know I am the "odd man out", but I have never mixed, while changing foods, either.
Mine all eat the same thing. They all get the food, I feed. That's it. I have never had
runny poop, never had a problem.

I just can't imagine mixing 'Wellness' in with "Ol Roy", NOT going to happen. HistericalSmiley.gif

I must say, though. My Daisy liked her food "nuked". wub.gif
