I finally made some liver treats. I used beef liver because that is what I had but I assume you can use any liver. I just put it in a pan of water with a lid on the stove and cooked it until it was cooked through, then I set my oven on the lowest temperature it would go, which was 170 degrees and layed the pieces of liver on a cookie sheet. I put it in the oven with the door open a little bit. I left it in for about 5 hours. It came out kind of like beef jerky. I cut it into little pieces and put it in the refrigerator. I think if I had cut the liver up into little pieces before I put it in the oven, I wouldn't have needed to leave it in the oven so long. I'm not sure if you need to store it in the frig, but I did just to be safe. It doesn't stink much either when you're baking it, but the dogs were very interested. tongue.gif
