Wish us luck for this afternoon. Our appointment is at 4:30. I wasn't overly concerned about it before but now I am getting myself worked up. I have a habit of doing that.

Our Maltese developed some lumps just like what you describe. The vet biopsied them and they were lipomas - fatty deposits. Nothing to worry about. They are very common. They may grow, change in size, shape, or go away. But you'll feel better once you have the vet check him out. Just be prepared that they may want to biopsy the lump.

Ok I feel so much better now. Vet said nothing about the bump raised any suspicions in her. It's too small to aspirate but she is sure it's either a cyst or the beginnings of a lipoma ( which he is prone to getting). There is nothing ominous about it at all. The one he has on his flank area she is positive it's a cyst. I had myself all worked up and gave myself a headache this afternoon and it's totally gone now!

Kathy, that is good news! It is easy to get our "knickers in a twist" when we feel our pups may be seriously in danger. So glad you are both ok!

I am so happy too!!!!!! I woke up this morning feeling a huge relief off my shoulders. Guess I was more worried than I even realized.
