Default Spring is in the air???

Anticipation - It won't be long now!

Finally finished pruning my 50 roses in the front yard today.
It was really hard not trampling on all the bulbs coming up and the ones starting to bloom.

It will be -2 Fahrenheit on Sat here. This morning, the roads were sheets of ice, but I am sure there are bulbs waiting to come up.

The daffodils are beautify.

50 Roses! WOW!!
We had snow, sleet, ice & records set last night in Central TX. Most of it was gone this AM but enough left to remind me of how cold it can get when it stays a bit. Ummmmm, hurry summer I am expecting you!

Paulann I am so jealous, we have about 5 inches of snow and expecting more
It's cold here, I can't wait for Spring.
Until then I will enjoy seeing pictures and hearing your stories.

Walter, I can't imagine it that cold. Today was 70 degrees here. We are still getting a few frosty mornings but the frost melts as soon as the sun comes out. I have 6 hummingbird feeders that I need to refill every couple days year round.

Sandi, I too am looking forward to the warmth of the sun in the summertime. I wasn't aware that it gets that cold in Texas. My mother lives on 20 wooded acres in Magnolia Texas - Im thinking I better send her a text and make sure she's is ok. Those 50 roses I finished pruning are in the FRONT yard - I still have many more that need TLC in the back yard......My body is complaining loudly - I'm thinking I need to listen to it and take a break. Did you get any answers from the specialist you saw two weeks ago?

Paula, Once in a while we get snow in the mountains around here. In the 45 years Ive lived in my house I only remember snow twice in my yard. One of those times my girls and I were able to build a snowman that lasted for a couple days! My daughter lives in IL and has become an expert snow shoveler. The older I get the more I don't like the cold.....or maybe it's my body that doesn't like the cold! Spring is my favorite time of the year. All the flowers are fresh and blooming up a storm!

Although we have some beautiful Roses in our Backyard Paulann, I would love to see your 50+ Roses!! And it sure is not a very nice day here even though the Roses that we do have are already showing some beautiful new growth.

I'm so jealous!!!!!! It's snowing and blowing here and the wind is bitter cold. It hurts the face when you go out.
